End-of-day settlement price files for CME products are available on the Internet at ftp.cme.com/pub/settle .

 

These files have been available for an extended period using both the modern naming convention -- starting with cme.settle -- and in an older naming convention stl yymmdd.zip convention.

 

Effective Friday, July 13, 2007, files will no longer be published using the older stl naming convention, and only the modern cme.settle convention will be used.

 

Users of these files who obtain them using the old naming convention should switch to picking up the files with the new naming convention at their earliest convenience.

 

Some additional things to note:

 

First, the content of the files published with these two naming conventions is exactly identical.  They are the same files.

 

Also, the files using the modern cme.settle naming convention are available (a) in both an early and a final form, (b) both zipped and unzipped, and (c) both with the business date in the filename and with static filenames.  Shortly these files will also be published in the new FIXML format.

 

And last, the quadrant-specific files stlags, stlcur, stleqt, and stlint are unaffected by this change, and will still be published exactly as they are currently.
